Summary: ahhh not yet foks.... would only give the game away....
Authors Note: there are so many people to than for the encouragment, and guidance and urging and patience and just generally listening to me go on and on and on.... you know who you are and I love you dearly, I just dont know if any of you would appreceate your names being hollared out ... hehehe... but I do love you.

Six months later:

The Courtroom was packed, and you could hardly draw a breath in there it was so stifling, A lot of people on both sides of the fence had turned out today to see how this whirlwind of a case ended. The call to rise went out, and as the courtroom stood to attention and the judge and jury all filed into place, Jensen took that moment to try and clear his spinning head. He was flanked on either side by a stony faced Chris and a tense Steve, and all around him were Jareds family, Jareds mom being supported by his Dad and his sister, to one side of him and his own Family on the other, all standing firm behind Jay the whole way through this; behind them and piled into every corner they could get were the townspeople of San Antonio, from the regular townsfolk to the staff of the school where Jared worked, to the kids he had helped with his programme. All there in support of a man that they adored as a teacher and as a mentor, all there in silent defiance no matter how the media had condemned Jared, they knew him and they loved him and nothing was going to change that no matter what one lying scumbag said.

Jared was seated directly in front of him, within touching distance and god all he wanted to do was touch him, hug him, hold him. Just take him away from this nightmare, away from the lies and the media and just be where the two of them could forget. Or better yet he would love to wake up around now and find that all this madness had just been one massive nightmare, but a quick glance across the room as the head juror handed over the slip of paper containing the verdict, told him that no, he wasn’t waking up anytime soon. For seated Across the room behind the prosecutor sat seventeen year old Colin White, one of the very first kids Jared had helped when he had arrived back home and set this programme up, Jared had told him all about Colin one time. How he had been the toughest, but yet saddest case he had dealt with, but he had been very proud of the outcome and how Colin had turned out. Little did he know at the time, exactly how Colin did turn out, and how he would lie.

An uneasy tense silence fell over the courtroom as the judge read the verdict silently and handed the paper back over; he waited until the paper had been handed back to the head juror before calling for the defendant to rise. Jared rose, standing tall, with his back straight, looking straight ahead, and Jensen knew, not daring to risk a glance behind him for fear of breaking totally. But he was scared, Jensen knew that too, in fact Jared had never been more terrified in his whole life and there wasn’t a damn thing Jensen could do to take all this away. Beside him Steve squeezed his arm in silent support, while on the other side Chris looked ready to pounce at the first sing of trouble, he was coiled like a spring and had been since he had spotted Mark enter the courtroom not five minutes before, once again playing the aggrieved Husband.

‘’Has the Jury reached a verdict?’’

‘’We have your Honour’’

‘’How do you find the defendant, Jared Padalecki on the charge of the sexual molestation?’’

‘’Guilty, your honour’’

A collective cry of rage erupted from the back of the courtroom, as Jared slumped forward bracing his hands on the desk in front of him, and Sherri collapsed in her husbands arms sobbing uncontrollably with Megan clinging white faced on her other side. Jensen just blinked and stared in shock as the judge pounded furiously on the table for order and continued;

‘’On the charge of attempted rape of a minor, how do you find the defendant Jared Padalecki?’’

‘’Guilty, your honour’’

A hoarse cry of rage and grief carried above the noise as Jared turned around, shock and terror evident in his ashen features. He threw his arms collectively around his parents and his sister, who clung to him sobbing, and had to be forcibly pulled from his trembling arms by relatives, he turned then to his friends and his lover, his life, and tears rolled unchecked down his face as he took Jensens face in his hands and shushed him; and it was only then that Jensen realised that the cries of grief were tumbling from his own mouth.

Jensen clung to Jared as if his life would end if he was taken away and at that moment it felt like it was ending, as Jared kissed his wet face and whispered over and over again ‘’I love you I love you I love you...Jen I love you so much, don’t cry, it will be alright, you’ll see, I love you.’’

Suddenly Jareds hands were gone and his arms pulled behind his back and cuffed, as Jensen looked on in complete shock, and Chris managed to grip his shoulder and in a voice hoarse with shock and pain said;

‘’We will sort this out Jay, hang in there a little while longer bud, we will get you out!’’

As Jared was led away, never once taking his eyes from Jensen’s face, his own face ashen with shock he called out;

‘’I love you, take care of my family Jen, I love you!’’

And he was gone.

All of a sudden there was uproar as Chris suddenly launched himself across the courtroom straight for Mark Peters, screaming obscenities at the silent smug look on Peters’ face.

He got in one punch before he was pulled off and away by Steve and Marks chauffeur...

‘’I swear to god Peters, you goddamned son of a bitch, I swear you will go down for this, you are responsible and I will make you pay you goddamned piece of shit! What did he ever do to you huh? Why couldn’t you have just left him alone? He just wanted to be left alone! You fucking piece of shit, I will make you pay!’’

Mark looked on calmly as Chris was now forcibly held back by three officers and his buddy Steve, he waited patiently as Chris was calmed down by Steve, and the officers, assured that he was calm and nothing more would happen, then very calmly and quietly, he walked up to Chris, smiled serenely and whispered for Chris’ ears only;

‘’Knock yourself out Kane, I always did enjoy a challenge, Jared never did present much of a one, maybe I was looking at the wrong friend?’’

As Chris screamed with rage, and had to be held to the ground by Steve and Jareds Uncle, Mark smiled softly again, looked over at Jensen with a look of pure triumph and walked out saying;

‘’I think I’ve seen all I needed to see’’

The three friends were left reeling. How did this happen? Why did this happen? One thing was for sure, they had to get Jared out, before they lost him completely, because Jared had been through enough in the last twelve months, and the last six months had been more than even they could handle, and now Jared was behind bars for gods knows how long, convicted of a crime he had never committed.

What did they do now?
