Chris sighed as he hung up the phone with Jared; he was concerned about his friend. Jared was quiet, and Jared had never been quiet. He had sounded tense on the phone and he had assured Chris when he asked that he was fine and it was nothing a few beers and a night away from home wouldn’t sort, yes Mark was fine and no there was nothing wrong between them, he just needed to get away , thats all, he assured Chris.
‘‘Yo! Jensen!’’ Chris hollered across the bar at the owner and his friend Jensen Ackles. Jensen turned at the sound of his name and grinned good naturedly at Chris.
‘’Whats up man?’’
‘’Got room for one more head tonight? Just got off the phone with Jay and he is on his way down for a night’’
Jensen frowned slightly at the mention of the name and then smiled when he remembered who Chris was talking about ...
‘’Ahh so i get to meet the ever elusive Jared at last yeah?’’
Chris chuckled ‘’yeah, yeah you do ... It will be good to see him again, don’t get to see that man often enough for my liking, the way his husband has him locked up’’
‘’Locked up?’’ Jensen asked surprised at the tone of resentment in Chris’ voice... ‘’ is he alright? He isn’t a nutcase of a husband is he?’’
‘’No, no nothing like that, he just likes to keep Jared close to home is all’’ Chris reassured him ‘’Believe me, the guy wouldn’t lay a finger on Jared, I’d kill him, Jareds a good guy, its just....’’
‘’Just what?’’ Jensen urged, concerned at the sad look on his friends normally smiling face.
‘’As you know we met when Jared was in college, when Jared worked in a bar i was playing at, he was a great kid then, and is a good man now, but sometimes, sometimes I think he is too good ya know?’’ Chris frowned slightly ‘’I’ve met his husband and he is an ok guy, very wealthy, and Jared loves him, its just lately Jared is quiet, kind of brooding, I just get the feeling he is unhappy you know?’’
‘’Well, I have more than enough room for your friend man’’ Jensen replied clapping Chris on the back ‘’don’t worry, we will show Jared a good time tonight’’ he assured him smiling again
‘’Man’’ Chris grinned ‘’I sure wish I had known you before Jared married Mark ‘’ He sighed ‘’you two would sure have hit it off’’
‘’Chris’’ Jensen warned ‘’I’m warning you man... don’t start with the matchmaking again, and this man is married!’’
‘’Aawww shit Jensen, I’m just saying’’ Chris grinned ‘’Jared is too good a guy anyway to ever look twice at anyone else, like I already told you, Jared is a good man...’’
‘’Anyway’’ Jensen grumbled tossing his bar cloth at Chris’ head ‘’ knowing your taste the poor guy wouldn’t even be my type!’’
Chris just grinned to himself as he thought of these two meeting for the first time, this was gonna be good!

Later that evening, Jensen had just left the local grocery story, having picked up some supplies for his last minute addition to the house, when the rumble of a bikes engine caught his attention. He turned to follow the noise and could just gape at the sight that greeted him.
The man that got off the bike, was clad in bikers gear from head to foot, black boots, tight black jeans covered long, long lean legs and led to an ass so tight that Jensen felt his gut clench... a black leather jacket fit snugly on an upper body that made Jensens heart stop in his throat, and when the man took off the helmet and ran his hands through shaggy dark hair, Jensen was so grateful he was standing across the street, cause he actually full on whimpered...Because even from across the street Jensen could see this man was just gorgeous...a strong face held an angular jaw, high cheekbones and before the man lowered aviator sunglasses onto his face he caught a glimpse of cat like shaped eyes ...and...
Oh shit, the god had spotted Jensen, which wasn’t hard really seeing as Jensen was the only one on the quiet street, and was striding across the street in his direction... Jensen stood, rooted to the spot as the man stopped directly in front of him and smiled hesitantly, ‘’Hi, I was hoping you could help me?’’ He said in a soft voice covered in Texan twang and Jensen swallowed, hard.
‘’Yeah sure, how can I help ya?’’ Jensen answered very surprised and delighted that his voice sounded almost normal...
‘’I, uhh, I was looking for a bar? Ahh Rangers I think it was called?’’
‘’Sure! Thats my bar! I’m Jensen, Jensen Ackles’’ Jensen replied smiling and feeling suddenly at ease in this strangers presence. ’’Come on. I was just heading back, you can walk with me’’
‘’Awesome!’’ The man grinned and Jensen felt himself falter as the full power of that smile turned on him.
The man removed his glasses then, and took off the gloves he had been wearing and smiling held his hand out ,and Jensen looked into hazel eyes that were flecked with gold ‘’Hi, I’m so sorry I never introduced myself, I’m Jared Padalecki, a friend of Chris ‘’
And Jensen groaned inwardly as he realised why Chris had only grinned that morning when Jensen had mentioned Jared probably not being his type...Cause this guy? This guy was soooo his type.
It was only when Jareds smile faltered a little that he realised that Jared was standing there with his hand out and Jensen was just staring at him like a complete idiot...
‘’Oh god, I’m so sorry ‘’ Jensen laughed softly, and took Jareds hand in his and promptly gasped.
The feeling of Jareds warm strong grip sent a jolt of electricity up Jensens arm and judging from the look of shock on Jareds face he had felt it too, and they dropped hands as quickly as they could while trying hard for casual, but the look of shock and awareness was still in Jareds eyes.
‘’So, uh, will my bike be ok? Or should I walk it back? I mean is it far?’’
And Jensen felt a bit better for knowing that he wasn’t the only one affected .
‘’Yeah, the bar isn’t far, why don’t you just walk it back with me ?’’
Jared jogged back across the street and soon they were walking at an easy pace, down the street and around the corner...
‘’This is a nice town’’ Jared commented ‘’I’ve never been this way before’’
‘’Yeah, yeah this is a pretty cool town, its small, and the people are nice, I’m glad I came across it and stayed’’
‘’Texas yeah?’’ Jared asked
‘’Dallas’’ Jensen replied ‘’you?’’
‘’San Antonio’’ Jared said with a grin ‘’ You’re a ways from home...no bars in Dallas?’’
‘’I could say the same for you Jared, You’re a ways from home too’’ Jensen quipped and promptly felt like kicking himself as a shadow crossed Jareds face quickly before he collected himself.
‘’Yeah, I am I guess’’ Jared said softly ‘’ My husband’s company needed him on this side of the country so here I am’’
‘’You miss it huh?’’ Jensen asked
‘’Yeah sure, who wouldn’t?’’ Jared answered with a grin.
They were saved any more conversation when they came to a halt outside a small nice looking bar...
‘’Welcome’’ Jensen said with a smile, ‘’Why don’t you park the bike round back, it will be fine there and come on in and we will get you a beer, Chris is inside’’
‘’Yeah sure, thanks’’ Jared said and Jensen released a shaky breath as He disappeared round the back with his bike.
It had been a long time since he had felt an attraction this strong, in fact not even with Steve had it been this strong...
It was gonna be a long damn night.
