Jared Padalecki had it all; he had a great body, and a gorgeous face to match that great body. He lived in the wealthiest part of town in a great big rambling house, all the money, wealth and fancy clothes he could possibly ask for. He had a games room, in which he had every games console known to man, games machines and pool tables..... He had a wealthy, generous and gorgeous husband in Mark.....

Jared Padalecki was bored to tears.

Jared wasn’t only gorgeous, he was educated, he could hold his own in any conversation with any of those business men his husband brought home when the mood struck. He was intelligent, witty, funny and always felt self assured no matter how many times Mark would suddenly show up with any amount of business men in tow, looking to be entertained. He always gave the impression he was listening intently to everything his companion was saying, nodding in all the right places, witty quips and come backs...and was more than capable of handling any situation Mark thrust upon him.

Anyone looking at Jared, would have thought he was born into this type of society, not many people knew Jared came from very little. He had come from a very average working class family, with two parents he adored and a sister who thought he hung the moon. His parents had worked so hard over the years to make sure he and his sister Meg had every opportunity, and he hadn’t let them down. He had gone to college and worked his way through college and had gotten his teaching degree, and all from sheer hard work and determination.

It was at one of the many bars he had worked at throughout college he had met Mark... Mark had been passing through on a business trip for his father, and had had car trouble so had ended up passing away a few hours in the local bar, while he waited for his fathers people to come tow his car out of there. He had looked so out of place in that bar, with his expensive suit, hair slicked and smooth hands, that had never seen a days hard work in his life.

But Mark had been interesting, and he had been genuinely captivated by Jared.... they had talked for three hours in that empty bar, and by the time he had left, he had Jareds number and the promise of a date later in the week, when Mark was free. You would have thought that little sign would have been enough for Jared, but Mark wasn’t the only one captivated and Jared was mesmerised by smooth good looks, blue eyes and a tall lithe body and forgave the little things that became part of their daily life together, even in those early days...Mark was busy, first trying to prove himself to his ever disapproving father, and hadn’t he double the proving to do after telling his father he was gay, then later on when his Father had died unexpectedly he had to take over the running of the family company....

Mark was fourteen years Jareds senior, and while it raised a few eyebrows, it never bothered Jared. He was captivated from the beginning by him, he was tall, only about an inch shorter than Jared, and well built, strong and fit, he turned heads where ever they went , and together, they made quite an impressive couple. But thats where the similarity ended, while they were well matched height wise and looked good together, where Mark was aggressive in nature, Jared was passive, he had no interest in the fight training Mark had been taking for years and resisted all of Marks attempts to get him started. He did however join a gym to please Mark and over time built up quite a physique that belied his gentle nature. Mark was pleased and excited by how good Jared looked, and he showed it in the bedroom.

But Mark was a busy man, had a lot of stress.... sure it had hurt when he had missed Jareds college graduation, but he had more than made up for it by taking Jared away for a week to Italy, when he had eventually managed to make it down to Jareds three weeks later. Jared had been so excited to be starting a new life outside college, had a great chance of getting a great teaching position in a very prestigious school and he had forgiven Mark quickly in the face of his excitement .

They had a wonderful time in Italy, Mark was as generous and as caring as he always was and Jared wanted for nothing. The love making was good, Mark had been Jareds first lover and he was satisfied with him... Mark never bottomed, told Jared he could never, and Jared had been ok with that and Mark never hurt him, always made sure he was prepped enough and with kisses and strokes of Marks hands down his body, and even sometimes Jared came before Mark and that was always good... if at times Mark came quickly and went to the bathroom to clean up with a quick peck of his lips to Jareds, leaving Jared hard and having to finish himself alone, Jared didn’t complain....He loved Mark.

Jared was overjoyed when Mark proposed, told Jared he didn’t care what society thought of them... that he was wealthy enough anyway to ensure they were accepted. So by the time they had left Italy it had been decided that Jared would join Mark, they would get married quickly and Jared would take over the running of Marks home... the teaching job having been deemed not quite enough for a husband of Marks... and Jared had went along with it, basking in the joy of a love he felt so strongly and the warmth of a man he had thought would never have looked at him twice...

They had married quickly and quietly, with just Marks mother and his parents and sister and a close friend he had met through his bar work Chris Kane. Jared had kept his own name, something Mark had been surprisingly agreeable to, much to Jareds relief. And if his mother had looked sad, he put it down to a mother saying goodbye to her son, typical wedding fare.... She had been worried when he had told her they were gonna be living clear across the country and he was putting his teaching on hold for just a little while, until they were settled and maybe then Mark wouldn’t mind him taking a little job somewhere. Anyway it wasn’t like he was going to need the money now was it, he assured his Mom with a hug, and she had just looked at him with eyes that asked him who was he trying to convince, and he had just shaken off the feeling and hugged her some more.

So they had settled quickly into life as a married couple, with Jared pretty much taking over the organizing of things from the house, and he was kept busy sometimes... Mark was always busy with the business, wooing potential partners at home, which was where Jared came in, and more often than not they dined out with them... and dining and wooing meant drink, Jared had never been much of a drinker, but Mark liked to indulge now and then, and if now and then became every night and more and more each time, Jared put it down to stress and pushed doubts aside, but a lot of the time Mark was away on business trips and would be gone for maybe a week, and that left Jared at home, surrounded by all this wealth and bored....

He had three or was it four cars sitting in a huge garage, and at the back of that garage sat his pride and joy, his motor bike, a massive big black monster of a machine that he loved to take out and just drive... he would put on his bike gear, and his helmet and take off and just go where the road took him, and today was such a day, Mark was out of town and was going to be gone for at least another three days, and Jared was restless, he needed to escape for a while.

He shoved a few things into a backpack, told Lucy the housekeeper he was taking off for a day or two and left her shaking her head and smiling with a kiss and a hug.

Lucy... ahh Lucy... Jared honestly didn’t know what he would do if he didn’t have Lucy in that house... She had completely taken over as Mother to him, they had shared many an hour sitting in the huge kitchen over coffee talking nonsense and she knew more about Jareds marriage and insecurities than anyone, sure why wouldn’t she, she was the housekeeper and it was her job to know... but now most importantly she was Jareds surrogate mother and an ear and shoulder for him to lean on.

Jared wheeled his bike out of the garage, put on his helmet, swung his long legs over the bike, waved to Lucy and took off out of the driveway at a speed that made Lucy cross herself... that man was gonna get himself killed on that bike one of these days... But she knew he would be safe... Jared was a good man, and normally just took off for a day or two and returned before Mark was due and was always ready and waiting for him....

Lucy sighed sadly... Mark was a blind man, and he couldn’t see that everytime he left on yet another business trip, and the longer and longer he stayed away, the lonelier Jared got, and he was slowly losing Jared. She could only hope that Mark realised what he was sacrificing with the business and the bottle he was becoming so fond off.

One of these days she was sure, Jared was gonna take off on that bike and not come back.... and she really hoped that day came soon, before he wasted away in this house.

As Jared manoeuvred his way out of the towns traffic and onto the open highway, he felt his body releasing tension he hadn’t realised he had been feeling.... God it felt good to get on the open road, and just drive. He had called Chris and Chris had told him he was at a little town bout five hours drive from where Jared was, playing at a friends bar for a night or two and to come on down.

Jared didn’t mind the drive, he relished it, there was nothing like the freedom of getting out on that bike and just eating road, no thinking, no planning, no wondering when Mark was gonna come home, just Jared, his bike and the open road. And pretty soon he would be in the company of Chris, his best friend since college, and he could think of no better way to unwind and forget who he was for a while.
