Summary:Jensens world crashes down around him after his lover is reported missing in a foreign country....
Main Pairing : Jensen/Jared ; Chris kane/Camille Soroyan (extra points if you recognise the character) and a few others that will be introduced as i make up the story...

Also from here on in all mistakes are mine and mine alone, blame no one but me as it isnt betae'd.And we are almost done, i still cant believe i wrote something.... i just hope these last two chapters will have made reading this worth while.. and i thank all who responded to every chapter..
Warnings: I think maybe i should have done this before, but i do want to warn of Character death (minor) and in this chapter there are scenes of a violent nature,so if you are sensitive please be careful....

Jensen awoke to Steve shaking his shoulder gently; he had fallen asleep curled up on the bed, Jared’s T shirt knotted in his hands.

‘Jen, come on man, we gotto go’

‘Steve? Whats up? What is it?’ Jensen was instantly on alert at the look on Steve’s face

‘We just got a call Jen, they want us at the Embassy as soon as possible, they have news on where Jareds being kept’

Twenty minutes later, after the fastest trip across the city, the three men were seated once again in an office as a couple of consulates explained what was happening.

‘The people who took Jared and Tom, are known members of a gang that has been ruthless in terrorizing parts of this city for quite a few years…’

‘They are known to the police, but nothing as, is the norm with these people, could be done by the local police…’

‘Look, we know all of this’ Jensen interrupted ‘Please… tell us what is happening right now? Where is Jared?’

‘Ok… Jensen is it? Can I call you Jensen?’ At Jensens nod the man continued.

‘Jensen, a couple of hours ago, one of our contacts finally came through and we now have Jareds exact location, now the thing is, its isolated, and about two hours drive out, and if we go hastily, chances are they will kill Jared, before they hand him over’

‘So what happens now? When are we going to go in and get him?’ Jensen had stood and started to pace anxiously.

‘Jensen, You are not going in, I am not having another American die needlessly here, you’re going to sit it out here and we will bring him to you, you have my word on that, we will get him out, but you have got to trust us to do our jobs, ok?’

Chris snorted and looked to be about to say something not so pleasant, but Steve interrupted before he could get a word out ‘Yes, yes we understand’

‘Just, just please, please get him back here to me?’ Jensen voice was barely above a whisper as he desperately tried to rein in his chaotic emotions…

‘We will do our very best Jensen, I can promise you that’ A hand clapped his shoulder gently before the men left the room, to get the rescue underway…

All Jensen could do now was wait…

And pray.

Three hours in and Jensen was ready to tear out of the building himself and rip the city apart…

They should have had news by now, fuck, something was wrong he could feel it.

‘Jensen, come on sit down for a while huh?’ Chris coaxed ‘Im getting dizzy from following your ass around the room, take pity on me and sit down and I will even go find you a fresh coffee, huh?’

Jensen grinned in spite of himself and returned ‘Aww Chris, its no wonder Cam loves ya,with your delightful bedside manner ‘

Chris threw him a mock dirty look and took on in search of a coffee machine, while Jensen took a seat on the edge of a chair, his knees jerking up and down, as if his body could not stay still. ‘Steve, why are they taking so long huh?’ he asked ‘Don’t you think they woulda’ called by now and let us know they had him safe?’

‘They will man, they will, give them a chance to get him out of there Jen, Jared will be back with you by this afternoon, and this we can all start to help Jared recover from all of this yeah?’

Jensen nodded and resumed his pacing and Chris chose that moment to return to the room with three coffees, which they all sipped silently for a few minutes….

Steve gave a warm smile a few minutes later and turned to the two men ‘ hey do you remember the night Jared turned up at the bar the first time?’ he asked Chris

‘Oh man’ Chris replied grinning and shaking his head ‘ It was like something out of a movie, the way these two threw eyes at each other across the room, I thought Jen here was gonna leap of the stage and jump him!’ Chris finished with an ‘ow!’ as Jensen cuffed him across the head lightly

But Jensen would never forget that night, or the many that followed, how Jared and his smile just pulled him, that way he had of grinning with his tongue caught between two rows of perfect white teeth just reminded him of a little boy sometimes….

The door opening had Jensen on his feet instantly as one of the men who had spoken to them earlier entered the room, with a look on his face that told Jensen that all had not gone to plan.

‘What is it? Whats happened? Have you heard? Where’s Jared?’

He opened his eyes slowly, he felt groggy, weak and generally all round downright ill..

‘I’m gonna be sick ‘was all he managed to croak out, before two arms had him supported as he vomited the contents of an already empty stomach….

‘It’s ok, it’s just the medicine my friend has given you, it was just to help with the pain.’

Jared finally managed to focus on the source of the voice, and looked up into Carlos’ concerned face..

‘What happened?’ he whispered, finding himself too weak to even lift his head at the moment…

‘You took a bullet to your side, when we were driving away, it’s nothing serious really, it didn’t even lodge, just grazed you, but it was enough to cause a lot of blood loss, I’m more worried about your health, your very sick, you need a doctor, we have got to get you out of here’

‘Where is here?’ Jared asked looking around him and taking in the room he was in. It was a bare room, with a cot and a stool but it was clean and dry.

‘We managed to get to back on the bike and far enough away, you are at a friends house its ok, you are safe here’

‘Maria! Is she ok? She took a bullet too!’ Jared tried to shoot up in the bed as he suddenly remembered the events the night before, only to fall back as a wave of dizziness hit him.

‘Maria is fine, again, only a graze, those fools that were hired to guard you couldn’t shoot straight if their lives depended on it, luckily for you and Maria, your lives actually did depend on it’

Carlos stood and left the room returning a short while later with a glass of water.

‘Think you can manage a few sips of this? You really need to get to a doctor, but first we need to get you to the Embassy, you will be safe there, nowhere else is safe for you now’

Carlos helped him sit, and sip some water, which Jared struggled to keep down and gave him a few minutes of sitting up before encouraging him to stand.

‘Think you can manage now? We really have to go, nowhere is safe and it won’t be long before they track you down to here…’

‘Sure, I have put you in enough danger, let’s get out of here’

Carlos helped him back into his torn bloody T shirt, which they had removed to look after his wound and helped him up.

For a big guy, Jared was extremely weak and Carlos supported his weight without a lot of trouble, and they headed outside slowly, where Carlos guided him to a very old decrepit car.

‘It’s too dangerous to use the bike now, they will be watching for it and us, we can’t take you right to the Embassy, but we will get you close, and you will get in from there’

‘Thank you’ Jared gasped as he leaned back into the back seat, exhausted from the walk from the house ‘You have done more than enough to help me, are you going to be ok? Will they find you?’

Carlos gave Jared a quick grin, ‘Don’t worry about me or Maria, we are used to dodging bullets and thugs in this city, you are not the first person I have helped out of a situation like this, although, Maria has never gotten involved before, she was really taken with you, you must be a good man for her to trust you like that’

Jared just nodded his reply, to exhausted and weak to even attempt another word as the car made its way across the city…

What seemed like hours later the car came to a stop, and Carlos opened the back door, ‘ We are as close to the Embassy as we dare to get my friend, they will be watching it, and at this moment in time, we are in more danger than you of being shot at’

He pointed down the street and Jared could see the gates of the Embassy at the end of the street, like they were waiting for him. Carlos helped him out of the car and Jared stood on unsteady legs and regarded Carlos before putting out his hand and taking Carlos arm in a firm grip.

‘I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me’ he said slowly ‘You have saved my life and the life of someone I love very much, tell Maria I will never forget what she has done for me’

Carlos nodded gripping Jareds shoulder in a brief show of affection, before Jared stepped back and Carlos drove away.

Jared drew in a shaky breath, and shakily started to move slowly toward the Embassy, he was weaving on his feet, and staggered a few times, he was well aware of how he looked. He looked like a tramp, drunk off his face, with his torn, loose, bloody clothes and his weaving staggering gait. He didn’t try to talk to anyone as he passed, he focused all of what was left in him on getting inside that gate, to safety, getting inside that gate was getting him one step closer to home, to Jensen.

Jensen stormed down the corridors of the Embassy, with Steve and Chris following close behind, both knowing better at this moment in time than to say anything. Jensen would speak when he was ready, his face was set tight, his eyes flashing with anger and determination.

Things had gone downhill fast in that room, after they had come in and told them, they gotten to where Jared was kept only to find it empty, with signs of a shooting earlier. They had also found a cage in the basement, where they had obviously kept Jared, a cage, A fucking cage!

Jensen had completely let rip, shouting and banging his fist on the table in frustration and rage, when they were informed that there was no more they could do now, he had obviously gotten away, and was now missing somewhere, they told him that they assumed he had help, and hopefully they would help Jared get to the authorities. But they told him that they wouldn’t hold much hope, as the gang ruled this city and probably already knew who had helped him and more than likely they would drop Jared somewhere to fend for himself.

Jensen had been furious at their claim they could not interfere with the running of the city and its authorities saying if they had an exact location on him they would go get him out, but seeing as he had disappeared there was no more they could do. They apologized, saying they were sorry.

Sorry! He had stormed out telling them, he was damned if he was gonna sit back and let Jared rot on the streets of this city. He would find him himself! He didn’t care how long it took, but he was driving this city till he found Jared…. After a few more choice words, Jensen had stormed out, Chris and Steve wisely staying silent and following close on his heels.

Now as he stood waiting impatiently for elevator doors to open and punching the button repeatedly, Steve ventured a word ‘Jensen…’

‘Don’t!’ Jensen halted him in his tracks, ‘Steve, just… don’t… I don’t care what you say… im getting a car and I’m not stopping until I have him safe’

‘Uh… I was just gonna suggest we get a driver to drive us to where ever we can go hire a car, if we are gonna be doing a lot of driving ‘

Jensen face softened for a moment ‘Yeah, yeah, sorry Steve, that sounds like a plan’

They entered the elevator and the trip to the ground floor went without another word. They emerged out into the glaring sun, it was obviously mid morning and the sun was high, and Jensen halted on the steps for a moment taking a deep breath.

‘Jen you coming?’ Chris called as they started to make their way toward where the car that had brought them there was parked.

Jensen nodded and stepped down off the steps and moved towards them, but a scuffle at the gate caught his eye… He glanced toward it quickly, spotting a couple of guards stopping a tramp from trying to enter the gates, he looked away again and continued a couple of more steps, before stopping in his tracks…. There was something….. he looked again, head tilted, eyes squinting slightly as he stared over at the man the gaurds were now talking to… the man … he was tall… Jensen took a step toward them, stopping and staring some more, his heart thumping loudly in his chest… his clothes were hanging loose on his body, his t shirt torn and …. Was that blood? The man’s face was almost completely hidden with dirt and ugly bruises and about a weeks’ worth of growth….

‘Jensen?’ Steve called …’You ok man?’

Jensen turned toward Steve and nodded and turned back again, staring again at the man who had now crumpled into the arms of one of the guards….. The guard quickly caught him and yelled for help while he lifted the man’s head back and Jensens heart stopped in his throat…. Jared….

He was moving before he realized it… saying his name softly at first then gradually growing louder ‘Jared…. Jared?’

He took off in a run shouting.

‘Jared!’

He vaguely heard swearing behind him as Steve and Chris copped on to what he had seen and followed quickly …

‘Jared!!’

Jared’s head snapped up at the sound of his name being called frantically and like a dream he saw Jensen running toward him across the large yard…’Jensen….’ He couldn’t stop the tears that flowed at the sight of the one person that had kept him alive throughout this ordeal…

‘Jensen’ his voice was no more than a whisper and he struggled to his feet again and took three staggering steps before falling to his knees again, but was caught in the strong arms of this man he loved so much….

He couldn’t talk anymore…. Didn’t have the strength… he just inhaled the scent of Jensen as Jensen knelt, holding him up and cried and gabbled nonsense in his ear as chaos erupted around them…..

Jared raised his head and opened his eyes and stared up into the eyes and tear stained beautiful face of his lover and whispered one word before blackness claimed him
