Summary:Jensens world crashes down around him after his lover is reported missing in a foreign country....
Main Pairing : Jensen/Jared ; Chris kane/Camille Soroyan (extra points if you recognise the character) and a few others that will be introduced as i make up the story...

Warnings: I think maybe i should have done this before, but i do want to warn of Character death (minor) and in this chapter there are scenes of a violent nature,so if you are sensitive please be careful....

Jensen sat on the grass under the tree that Jared had wanted so badly, it was stupid, but, lately it seemed to be the only place that he felt close to Jared. He leaned his head back against the trunk and sighed deeply, he was all cried out, and he hadn’t shed one tear since the breakdown in the kitchen two days ago. He wasn’t going to cry anymore, Jared wouldn’t want that, Jared had loved life, and wanted Jensen to love it too, so thats exactly what he was going to do now...

Steve walked down the garden and sat down beside him with a sigh ‘How you doing man? Need anything?’ Steve asked quietly,

‘Nah, you’re ok Steve, I’m ok, listen, I wanna thank you.... no.... I want to say this ...’ Jensen said as Steve made to interrupt.. ‘ You and Chris have been wonderful and there is no way I would have survived to now without the two of you here, so I wanna thank you both’
Jensen finished quietly and took a sip of the coffee that Steve had brought out to him...

They sat in silence, sipping coffee for a few minutes before Jensen broke the silence again,

‘Hey Steve? ‘

‘yeah man?’ Steve looked over at Jensen as he sat with his head leaning back against the tree, Jared’s tree

‘Do you think it’s stupid, that.... what do you think if I made a memorial out here? By this tree? It’s just he was so excited to have a tree finally... I just think.... yeah.... would it be ok you think?’

Steve swallowed and took a deep breath before answering, Jensen looked like death, he was pale, barely ate, slept very little and had been so quiet lately, only barely speaking at all and it looked like it took so much effort when he did...

‘Yeah Jen, I think it would be good, very good.’

Jensen gave Steve a small smile as he glanced sideways, ‘Yeah, me too ‘

‘Any news from Cam?’ Jensen asked five minutes later, still not raising his head or opening his eyes...

‘Nah, not since this mornings call, no change, they have given the station, 48 hours more and they have said after that they will send him home piece by piece...’

Jensen opened his eyes then and stood, pacing restlessly by the tree ‘Fucking bastards Steve, Tom has had to watch Jare die like that and now they threaten his life... he must be so scared, damnit, I wish there was something i could do!’

Steve stood and stopped Jensen pacing with a hand to his shoulder.

‘Jen, there is nothing more you can do my friend, nothing, you have offered everything to have toward the ransom money, and Cam is doing her damndest to come up with the rest, and if i know Cam, she will do it’ He squeezed Jensen shoulder gently ..

Jensen sighed ‘ I know Steve, I know, its just, Jared loved him like a brother ya know? Now I feel like I have to get him home safe, Look out for him, Jared would have wanted me to’

Steve’s eyes filled and he took in a shaky breath before continuing, no way did he want Jensen to break again like he had two days ago, he needed Steve to be strong and watching Steve cry was only going to upset Jen now.

‘We will man, we will get him home, and we will look after him, Just like Jared wanted, you have my word...’

They were saved any more conversation when Chris opened the patio door and Cam emerged, Chris behind her... Oh god, something had happened... there was something wrong... one look at Cams face as she tried to hold her emotions in check and Chris’ as about five different emotions ran across his face.....told him enough.

Jensen faced them, with Steve a solid reassurance at his back.
‘Cam? What are you doing here? Whats up? Is it the money? Tell me you have it, me and the boys will pool ours together, its not 5 million but it will help...’

Cam shook her head, halting Jensen in his tracks.

‘Jensen, maybe we should go inside, we need to talk’

She looked like she was in shock and close to tears and Jensen knew, he knew right then...

‘They found him didn’t they? They found Jareds body?’

Chris stepped forward, exchanging a silent look with Steve before saying ‘ Come on Jen, come inside, we will talk about it inside’

Jensen stepped back, hitting the solid wall of Steve chest and Steves arms were around his shoulder instantly giving him strength...

’ No’ He whispered, ‘I’m good here... I feel better here... Jared loved this damn tree... just tell me...please’

Cams slight frame was visibly shaking as she took a deep breath and answered,

‘ A body was dumped in front of the American embassy this morning...’ She held up a hand as Jensen made to speak...

‘Please, Jensen just listen to me... A body was dumped in front of the American embassy, they contacted me, said they were pretty sure it was the body of the journalist that the gang had claimed to have murdered, he was beat up pretty bad, his face was in a terrible state, he wasn’t wearing the Jacket, and had only one green sneaker on his feet’

Jensen shoved a fist into his mouth to halt the sob that was rising as Cam continued.

‘ Jensen, they couldn’t make an I.D., so they cleaned up his face as much as they could and sent on a photo...’

Cam’s voice gave way to a sob ‘I knew that face instantly... ‘

‘Jensen... there were no moles...’

Jensen took a second to catch up with what Cam was saying and he swayed on his feet.
‘What? What are you telling me Cam?’ he begged, his voice barely above a whisper

Cam gave him a watery smile, her face and her eyes full of grief...

‘Im saying its not Jared... it’s Tom, its Tom they killed, Jensen... ‘

‘Jared is the one they have...’

‘Jared is still alive...’
