Summary: Nine years ago Jared had left Dallas and now he was back and he had only one thing on his mind..... Revenge.

Only the light of a small bedside lamp lit the way in the large bedroom Jensen found himself in. There was nothing extravagant about this room besides the massive bed right in the centre of the room with another door leading to an ensuite on one wall.
He silently made his way over to the bed and stood for a minute or two gazing down at the face of the sleeping man laid out on the bed. Jared looked like he had fallen asleep quickly, he was on his back one hand splayed across his stomach and the other behind his head as if he had been lying awake staring at the ceiling. He was wearing a large bathrobe which had opened a fraction and the light of the lamp didn’t afford Jensen much of a view of what he knew to be a beautifully sculptured chest and stomach underneath. His head had fallen to the side and even here in the almost dark, Jensen could see that Chad had been wrong, for there were definite tear tracks on Jareds face and it broke his heart to think that Jared had cried himself to sleep thinking Jensen had laughed at him with Tom again.
He found a large oversized chair by the bed, with some clothes thrown on it and throwing the clothes to the floor he settled himself in and sat watching Jared sleep for the most of an hour the man hardly moving so deeply he slept, before sleep eventually claimed him and he nodded off, head resting on his hand still facing the bed where Jared lay.
He woke with a start sometime later, a bit dazed and confused, he had no idea what time it was and he cursed softly as he tried to move and he felt the effects of a prolonged sleep even in a chair as oversized as this one. Sitting up straight he stretched, groaning silently as the kinks eased out and then glanced at the bed freezing in fright as a pair of hazel eyes glinted at him in the lowly light room.
”Jesus!” Jensen clasped a hand to his chest in fright,” Christ Jared, I know you’re pissed at me but man don’t do that to me!”
Jared sat up then from the position on his side he had taken up when he had woken to find Jensen sleeping on the chair beside him. He leaned back in the pillows and rubbed his forehead in a tired fashion,
“What are you doing here Jensen?”
“I came here to talk to you Jared, to sort this out, this was just a massive misunderstanding Jared I swear to you”
“So you haven’t been in contact with that asshole? You haven’t been seeing him behind my back? Talking about me?” Jareds voice raised slightly as he leaned forward agitated and angry and trying to keep the noise to a minimum aware of the couple that waited out in the next room.
“Jared” Jensen got up and cautiously approached the bed causing Jared to scoot over to the other side “Look I did an incredibly stupid thing... he called me three days ago, and said he was back in Dallas, wanted to get together, relive old times he said, get the old gang together and raise some hell were his words” He looked up at the scoff that came from Jared as he stared straight at Jensen waiting.
“I told him I was too busy, said I wouldn’t be able to meet him at any stage in the foreseeable future, he asked was I gone too big in the music world to even meet an old friend and I told him that things had changed and I had grown up and moved on, I said sorry and hung up and that was the last contact I had with him until this morning I promise you Jared”
Jared looked unsure for the first time “and this morning?”
Jensen sighed and rubbed his forehead, fighting off a stress headache, man if he got one of these bad heads he was so screwed, he narrowed his eyes, fighting off the fast approaching headache and continued;
“This morning I went to the cafe as usual, I read the paper and had a coffee, I actually was contemplating on heading in the direction of the park to see if I could intercept you on your run when he showed up” He sighed and rose walking to the end of the bed and back and stood looking down at Jared’
“He just showed up Jared, I was stunned, he sat his ass down on the chair opposite me as if he had every right and started talking a mile a minute! Talked about us and the old days and how great it was going to be now that he was back... he was rambling on about some agent having fired him or something and I just couldn’t believe it! I got angry, told him I wasn’t interested in past days, said I had a different life now that I was happy, that I was in a steady relationship and he needed to stay out of my life... of course that was the worst thing I could have said cause he was curious then and just would not shut up wanting to know who I was so in love with and I just exploded and said it was you, the kid we had done that awful prank to all those years ago, that you were awesome and that it was slow going but I loved you and I needed this to work and he needed to shove off and leave me alone. Naturally he found this hilarious and said we needed more coffee to talk about this one and headed off to the counter and thats when you came in...”
He sat on the edge of the bed and faced Jared and implored.”Please Jared, you’ve got to believe me, I would never do anything to hurt you like that again I swear, I love you too much to fuck this up now. I know I should have told you he called, that he was back but I really thought it would only upset you, you were doing so well, and we were doing so well. I was going to tell you I swear to god I was, I just never found the right time and then you walked in anyway...”
“It’s ok Jen, I believe you”
“God you’ve got to listen to me Jared, I love you and I know I said no more secrets and lies and then I lied..... what?”
“I said I believe you” Jared sat up and scooted down the bed so he sat close to Jensen facing him squarely’ “I’m sorry Jensen, I freaked out and I ran again and I’m sorry I didn’t have more faith in you, I just... he was there and he looked so smug and smarmy and god it was all just there in my face and god I’m sorry Jensen, forgive me?”
Jensen opened his mouth to speak and promptly shut it again when the words wouldn’t come, he had expected a lot but not this, Jared believed him? He wasn’t kicking and screaming? No kicking him out on his ass?
Jared smiled then a little sheepishly “I don’t kick and scream do I?”
Oh Jesus he had said that out loud....” You..... You’re ok? You believe me?”
“Uh huh, please forgive me Jensen, I fucked up and ran without even giving you a chance to explain, and especially after everything we had gone through, everything you had gone through for us....”
Jensen shushed him with a finger to his lips, “You told me a few weeks ago that we stopped apologising for the past, and now I’m telling you the same thing. I don’t blame you for getting freaked, hell I would have too if I had been in your shoes, you saw the two boys who caused you hell drinking coffee together looking like old buddies. It’s not your fault Jared...”
Jared nodded gratefully and Jensen frowned as a thought struck him;
“Chad said you were angry, that you had shut down, wouldn’t talk to him even...how come you didn’t try to strangle me in my sleep when you woke if you were so angry?”
“You came here...”
“Huh?”
“You came here, all the way here to me, and sat in that chair and waited for me, they are not the actions of a man who doesn’t care Jensen. When I woke and saw you sitting there sound asleep, I couldn’t be angry, not looking at you so uncomfortable and just waiting and I felt...god Jensen...”
He raised his eyes and Jensen could see the blind terror in them as he looked at Jensen;
“What is it Jared? Whats wrong?”
Tears formed quickly in Jareds expressive eyes and he blinked them back furiously;
Jensen just sat and waited in silence for Jared to get the words out;
A deep breath “I love you Jensen, but being back there in Dallas is killing me slowly, I thought I could do it, but I can’t, and if I stay there I’m only going to end up fucking up the one good thing that came out of there and thats you.”
“You Love me?” Jensen smiled a soft wondrous smile at the words that Jared spoke so softly, God he was so proud of this man, he had made so many changes in himself, he had had so much to deal with and he was so brave, and now he was here, telling Jensen he loved him,
“I love you” Jared raised his hand and brushed Jensens cheek with a soft fingertip “I love you, but, I feel like I’m choking on too many stupid memories and I just don’t know what to do anymore.”
“Jared, you and me, we will stick together and....” Jensen stopped as an idea struck him “Hey Jared, Chad told me that you had a flight booked to France for the morning?”
Jareds eyes widened as he remembered’ “Fuck yeah! I have to cancel that!”
“No don’t...I mean.... I had been feeling kinda lost before you came along and maybe this is the perfect time!”
Jared looked at Jensen cautiously; “Time for what?”
“For you and me to take off!”
“What? What are you saying Jensen?”
Jensen looked at Jared like the man was a bit slow and he smiled at the cautious look on Jareds face, as if he didn’t want to believe what he was hearing, so he spelled it out for him;
“I’m saying that now is the perfect time for you and me to go, lets just go Jared, there is nothing to hold either of us back, lets leave, lets head to France, start there and just see where this all leads, lets go see where the road takes us huh?”
Jared stared at Jensen for a few moments “Jensen, I couldn’t ask you to give it all up for me”
“You’re not asking me to give it all up, I’m offering, take me with you Jared, show me your world, show me how you lived, show me everything...”His excitement rose as he gave himself over to the thoughts of leaving with Jared but Jared wasn’t convinced,
“What about Chris? The band? Your songwriting? Jensen this is huge.... “
“Jared, Chris only wants my happiness, he loves me and he loves you, he will be very happy for us...as for the band...there is an old friend of Chris’ that always wanted Chris to join his band but Chris never took him up on it cause he had me to think about....and my songwriting? Hell Jared, you do your writing from all over... whats to stop me from doing it huh? Lets just get out of here, take a few months and we just take off and see where the road takes us huh?”
Jared dared to hope, “You really want to do this?”
Jensen smiled bright and wide and crawled onto Jareds lap throwing his arms around the younger mans neck and kissing him soundly.
“Yes, Yes I do, what could be better huh? Just you and me travelling and finding out everything together, getting to know each other properly away from all the shit and past in Dallas, let’s do this Jared”
Jared couldn’t believe that this wonderful wonderful man was willing to do this for him... he loved him that much that he was going to uproot everything he knew just so their relationship had a fighting chance, how in the name of god had he gotten so lucky?
“You would do this for me?”
“No Jared, I would do this for us, you and me, we are awesome together and we deserve a shot and I can’t think of a better way to get that shot. You can’t stay in Dallas and if I come with you, technically you won’t be running anymore, cause I will be with you. I love you Jared”
Jared grinned wide and happy then and Jensen finally saw the man that Jared could be in that wide happy smile;
“Jesus I love you Jensen... let’s do it!”
Jensen didn’t squeal, no he didn’t and no matter how Jared teased him later, he would deny it to his grave, but he did throw his arms around Jareds neck and throw them both back onto the bed kissing every part of his face that he could reach. Jared laughed out loud in delight and joy and light kissing soon turned to passion and deeper kisses and hands roaming and touching and grinding and Jareds robe was pushed aside and Jensens mouth worked a trail down his beautiful body not stopping till he reached Jareds hard leaking erection, fitting his mouth over the length and swallowing him down causing the younger man to throw his head back and gasp for air as Jensen licked and sucked bringing Jared right to the very edge before Jared reached down and pulled Jensen off.
“No, not like that Jensen” Jensen was confused as Jared reached under the pillow and brought out a small bottle of lube, Jensen raised an eyebrow at the sight of the bottle and Jared chuckled “Guess Chad isn’t getting as much action as he is letting on and I think Sophia out there is playing hard to get, speaking of which...” He rose from the bed then totally naked and strolled to the door and turned the lock causing a muffled “Hey!” to come from the other side. He turned back around and made his way back to the bed and crawled up the mattress until he was straddling Jensens hips. He handed the bottle of lube to Jensen with his heart in his eyes and Jensens eyes widened as realisation dawned;
“Jared? Jesus Jared are you sure?”
Jared nodded “You came for me Jensen, you camped outside my door until I talked to you and then you followed me here to make things right and now you are giving up everything you know just to follow me half way round the world. If you can do this much for me, just for me, then I am damn sure I want to do this for you, give this to you, I trust you Jensen”
Jensen nodded through a tight throat and pulled Jared down for a deep kiss and Jared moved until he was laying on the bed with Jensen leaning over him. Jensen moved away long enough to strip and he was back and aligning his body to Jareds moving softly against Jareds hard length, hands moving easing the tension thrumming through Jareds body, kissing, stroking, licking and sucking. Jareds head thrown back on the pillow as sensation after sensation flooded his mind as Jensen softly eased his fingers into his tight hole and stretched and prepared and loved slowly, and when Jensen finally entered Jared slowly there were tears of pure love on his face as he watched Jared come apart under him and he followed him quickly over the edge. They slept wrapped in each others arms then until morning and eventually left the bedroom to face an empty suite, a note left on the bar from Chad, explaining he had gone to spend the night at Sophia’s and he would catch up with them later on in the day after he was done catching up on the filming.
They shared a beautiful morning, planning and calling people and explaining their plans over and over again, excitement bubbling under the surface. Jared called the airline and had his fight changed, and now they were both flying out a week later, plenty of time for them to wrap things up properly and leave with nothing to worry about. Even the stern call Jared got from his publisher telling him about the story that Tom Welling had sold to the highest bidder about the attack he had suffered at the hands of the crazed up and coming author did nothing to dispel the excitement.
They were starting a new life together, and this time there was no past to get in their way anymore. They had hope and love and faith in each other and for these two men, thats all they needed.
